At this meeting, we’d like to have a backyard barbecue themed event with everyone committing to bringing a picnic-style dish(ie, bbq, baked beans, potato salad or a dessert). If you are going to attend, please email me indicating what you’d like to bring so we can coordinate the menu.
We will finalize the details for the Emerald Coast Beer Festival and discuss the club organization plans we put in motion at the last meeting. Please try to attend so we can have everyone’s input. We are also going to have our Kolsch tasting and judging that night and we’ll sample and rate each beer on scoresheets, according to BJCP guidelines. The winning beer will be bottled and entered as our entry into the Emerald Coast Beer Festival’s Homebrew Contest.
Additionally, we will also have a silent auction that evening for some exclusive beers(not available in Georgia) to raise money for the club. The bidding procedure will consist of purchasing tickets ($1 per entry or 6 entries for $5) that you will use to bid on the beers you’d like to win. You can put all of your bid tickets on one beer or split your entries up. There is no limit on the amount of tickets you can buy and we’ll draw winning tickets that evening. Remember, this is a fundraiser that will help build our treasury so we can have fun group outings and help improve our club. If you have a beer you’d like to donate to the cause, please bring it.
